Architectural Committee
The mission of the Ocean Reef Architectural Committee is to promote a compatible diversity of style and appearance of homes in Ocean Reef and to maintain through constant supervision, the established tone and character of the community. The Committee is responsible for making recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the Building Regulations and Restrictions and approving building permit applications.

The regulations and restrictions are not intended to stifle the imagination or creative desires of property owners, but rather to assure that protective restrictions are in effect, which will maintain the appearance, character and value of Ocean Reef Community.

Membership Committee
The Ocean Reef Community Association Membership Committee is responsible for reviewing and/or interviewing all potential property owners at Ocean Reef for acceptance into the Association. The Committee acts as a screening mechanism and evaluating process, in essence, a "gate" through which all new members must pass. The Committee will also act as an educational body by reviewing the ORCA Member Handbook briefly with applicants. The membership process enhances the exclusive image of Ocean Reef and should be viewed as a valuable tool to attract suitable members.

Government Affairs Committee
The Ocean Reef Community Association Government Affairs Committee is responsible for monitoring government actions that may affect Ocean Reef. Depending on the issue, these areas include federal, state, county, and local governments, with particular emphasis on activities in Monroe County.

The Committee should strive to continually improve relations with each level of government and work closely with the Ocean Reef Political Action Committee. It is important to monitor candidates and issues that may appear on a ballot during an election. Working with the Political Action Committee, information will be relayed to the ORCA Board and the community at large.
