The Welcome Center,
located in the small building next to the Front Gate, issues identification
cards for employees entering Ocean Reef and maintains insurance and licensing
information
on all companies. This is also where property owners and Club members
obtain automatic gate openers for their automobiles for a small fee, and
where children are tested to obtain a golf cart license. |

Golf Carts |
Companies wishing to do business at Ocean Reef must comply with a set of requirements. More information can be found at the Business page or by contacting the Welcome Center between 8:00 and 4:00 pm Monday through Saturday. |
To operate a golf cart from sunrise to sunset you must possess a valid state
motor vehicle license or be 12 years of age and hold a valid cart operator
license issued by Ocean Reef Public Safety. Tests are administered by appointment
only. You can download the study guide and sample test at the Resident Forms
page. Golf Cart Learner’s Permits are available for children ages 10-12.
Children must pass both the written and driving test to obtain a learner’s
permit. Children with a learner’s permit may only operate a golf cart
if accompanied by an adult. Children are not allowed to use cell phones while operating a golf cart.

Front Gate |
Residents and Visitors entering Ocean Reef by land must enter through the
Front Gate. Our computerized entry system and professional staff ensure
that only authorized personnel are allowed onsite, 24 hours a day. Residents
may preauthorize expected visitors by calling the Front Gate, 367-4992 or
by utilizing the automated clearance system, 367-2263. Contractors doing
work onsite are restricted to set hours, which vary based on the time of
year. |
