SAFEGUARD YOUR PETS

Pet Safe Program

Attention pet owners, online registration for our new Pet Safe Program is now open! Conveniently
register your household pet(s) by clicking here. Should your family experience an
emergency, such as a fire or medical crisis, registering for the program makes Public Safety
aware that there are pets in your home and where they are most likely to be found. The program
also specifies who an officer should contact to care for your pet(s) if you are not able to do so.
In an emergency, Public Safety will contact your designated pet caretaker to come get
your pet and their Pet Safe Emergency Essentials Bag(s).

The essentials bag is an important component of the program as it will hold instructions for your
pet caretaker on how to care for your pet, as well as any medications and comfort items your
pet may need. After you register, please pick up your bag at the Public Safety Headquarters.
