Keeping the Reef Safe!Public Safety


The Ocean Reef Public Safety Department is a multi-function organization providing security, medical and fire services to the Ocean Reef community. Public Safety is equipped with a communications dispatch center for 911 and non-emergency calls, three ALS ambulances, one ladder truck and one pumper truck, two patrol boats and multiple patrol cars, each equipped with automated electronic defibrillators (AED's).

The Ocean Reef Public Safety Department also manages the Front Gate and Welcome Center. Officers assigned to the Front Gate and Welcome Center are responsible for ensuring that all members, guests and employees gaining access to Ocean Reef have proper clearance. Background checks for contractors, workers, and employees working in Ocean Reef are also performed by the Welcome Center staff.

Keeping the Reef Healthy


Our Paramedical Follow-Up Program provides residents who are transported in a Public Safety ambulance and hospitalized an at home wellness check following their release. Paramedics will run a number of tests to ensure you’re in good health. We hope this helps to ease stress while you heal!



Member Services


The Member Services desk located at the Public Safety building provides keys to your property managers and workers, golf cart testing for permits and licenses, gate openers for residents and Club Members, prescriptions, and more.

Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
